In the Jalkuri branch, 5 km away from the main institute building, 200 to 500 sick mothers and children are treated daily. A diarrhoea and Malnutrition treatment centre was set up in the institute compound during the recent flood in 1998 for provision of emergency service day and night. Now the out patient and inpatient department for children has already been started in the main hospital compound. Obstetrics and Gynaecology OPD has also begun and its inpatient will start soon.
