Radiology & Imaging Department
of the Institute of Child & Mother Health, Matuail,
Dhaka is formally functioning since March 1999. It
has a branch at Jalkuri, Narayanganj. At present there
are one 500 mA X- ray machine, one 100 mA portable
X -ray machine & one ultrasonography machine
of high resolution at Matuail centre. Film Processing
system of this centre is by auto film processor.

At Jalkuri Branch there is one
200 mA X-ray machine. Due to lack of manpower, activities
in this centre are limited.
Staffing
of this department is given below:
Professor-1, Assistant Professor-
1, Radiographer - 3, Receptionist - 1, Computer operator
- 1, Dark room Assistant - 1, Aya -1 and MLSS - 1.
In both the centres facilities
are available for all types of radiological examination.
All types of ultrasonographic examination are done.
Every patient is considered on research point of view.
The department participates
in various orientation courses like FCPS (Paediatrics),
MD (Paediatrics), DCH, that are undertaken by ICMH.
Short and long term training courses on paediatric
and OBGYN Radiology and Imaging will be started very
soon. The department is also involved in the research
activities of ESP.
